Kathmandu, January 3: The work of opening the track of the Bishnumati Corridor connecting Budhanilkanth and Tokha Municipality of Kathmandu 5 has started. Pradeep Poudel, Member of the House of Representatives of Kathmandu 5 and Minister of Health and Population laid the foundation stone of the project.

Minister Poudel pledged to help increase the budget for the corridor work, which has recently been started by allocating one crore from the federal government. Stating that the development work has been delayed as the corridor could not be opened, Minister Poudel said that he has taken the initiative to reduce it after seeing the suffering of the citizens.

“This corridor will contribute to the development and prosperity of both levels,” said Minister Poudel, adding, “We will always be there to meet the development needs of the citizens”.

The road will be extended by the Roads Division Department in the Budhanilkantha area. Similarly, the road expansion work has been started through the Kathmandu Valley Development Authority in the corridor of the Tokha City area. At present, the goal is to take the track of the corridor starting from the Dhaneswar Dhanne Dhikuro area of Budhanilkantha to the Shon temple. Minister Poudel expressed his commitment to the success of the union, and provincial and local governments for the development of the region.

Bagmati State Minister for Drinking Water and Irrigation Shyam Bahadur Khadka, Chief of Budhanilkantha Municipality Mitharam Adhikari and Chief of Tokha Municipality Prakash Adhikari were also present at the foundation stone laying ceremony. They expressed their commitment to work together with Minister Poudel, saying that there will be coordination and partnership among all three levels for the construction of development.
