
Kathmandu, December 28: Around 15 to 20 rhinos in the Chitwan National Park are expected to have gone to the Indian jungle in Kartaniyaghat, Bihar. The team monitoring the activities of animals in the Park claims that due to the lack of water, rhinos went to the Indian forest.
The Park’s specialist team monitored the animals’ activities last month. The team discovered missing of around 15 to 20 rhinos while counting them.
According to a census in 2077 BS, 146 male and 198 female, and 408 unidentified gender of one horn rhinos were found in Nepal. In total, 752 rhinos were counted in Nepal. Currently, in Chitwan only, there are 694 rhinos.
In Bardiya, there are 38 rhinos.
