
Kathmandu, December 28: Former Supreme Court judge Prakash Wasti passed away Friday night. According to family and hospital sources, he died of a heart attack on Friday night. He was taken to Norvic Hospital in Thapathali after suffering a heart attack.
He was an additional judge of the Supreme Court for nearly six years. He was appointed an additional judge in 2065 and retired in 2070 when his tenure was not extended.
Wasti, who was born in 2010 BS, entered the legal profession in 2033 BS. He worked as a legal adviser in the Suryanath Upadhyay-led Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA). He became a senior advocate in 1965.
