Kathmandu, December 27: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has asked the coordinators of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups to move forward to strengthen parliamentary relations with foreign countries further.

He said this during a discussion with the coordinators of the Parliamentary Friendship Groups in Singha Durbar. He informed that the Parliament of Nepal had formed parliamentary friendship groups to expand relations with the parliaments of 41 countries, including the coordinators of the parliamentary friendship groups.

Sita Gurung is the coordinator of the Nepal-UAE Friendship Group; Uday Shumsher Rana is the coordinator of the Nepal-Saudi Arabia Parliamentary Friendship Group; Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, coordinator of the Nepal-Ireland Parliamentary Friendship Group; Dr. Anjan Shakya, Nepal-Azerbijan Parliamentary Friendship Group; Lilanath Shrestha, Nepal-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group; Dr. Chanda Karki, Nepal-Norway Parliamentary Friendship Group and Sushila Sirpali Thakuri as the coordinator of Nepal-Bhutan Parliamentary Friendship Group.

Accordingly, Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat is the coordinator of the Nepal-United States Parliamentary Friendship Group; Gagan Kumar Thapa, coordinator of the Nepal-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group; Biraj Bhakta Shrestha, coordinator, the Nepal-UK Parliamentary Friendship Group; Dr Narayan Khadka, coordinator, Nepal-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group; Narayankaji Shrestha, coordinator of the Nepal-China Parliamentary Friendship Group, among others.
