Kathmandu, December 26: Nepali Congress leader and lawmaker Shank Koirala said that it is necessary to move ahead by adopting the ideologies of BP Koirala.
Addressing a program organized by the Nepali Congress Ramechhap-Kathmandu Liaison Committee in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Koirala said that leaders need to think for the society. He said that politics will be done only for the society. He argued that politics should not be done by thinking about individuals’ personal interests. The Nepali society is years old, he said that it is the task of the new generation to continue that society.
“Why remember BP Koirala today, not because he was a millionaire or a billionaire but how he used his life. He spent his life for others. Politics begins only after individuals forget about their personal lives and contribute to society.
“We have to move forward by sticking to the ideology of BP Koirala,” the late Koirala’s son and NC leader Shank said.
