
Kathmandu, December 24: Pakistan’s Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today.
In the meeting at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, various topics of bilateral relations and interests were discussed to enhance the exchange of cooperation in trade, tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, disaster management, education and culture.
PM Oli said that as the chair of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), they are taking the initiative to activate the organization and stressed that the member countries should play a constructive role in SAARC.
According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, PM Oli said that even if there may be mutual problems between any two countries, it should not hurt a regional organization like SAARC, adding that Nepal has been expanding relations and cooperating with the spirit of “friendship with all and enmity with none,” keeping in mind the legitimate national interest as a sovereign and independent country.
