In the Senate meeting held at the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers’ office for about three hours on Sunday, university professors, staff, students, public campuses and representatives suggested solutions to the problems of the TU. After realizing that the distance between the office bearers and the members of the Senate had increased in the agenda presented at the Senate meeting of TU held in Kirtipur recently, Chancellor Oli called a meeting to discuss in detail. The members of the Senate expressed their gratitude to the Chancellor for having such a meeting for the first time and for being able to keep their things open.
Mentioning that the discussion of the Senate meeting of December 12 has been presented on social media, Oli stressed that the senators should focus logically on the main issue of problem-solving and reform, not for public consumption. PM Oli made it clear that it was nothing to take him personally from the University and urged everyone to protect its dignity, dignity and reputation as the development, protection, promotion and progress of the University would be a common concern. Oli urged to make public its manpower, work done and goals on the website of the TU and reminded them to maintain transparency in such a pious institution.
He said that a task force should be formed to study and implement the report of the movable and immovable property search committee of the TU and further study should be done if the report is not enough. Oli urged the TU Services Commission to reconsider its rationale if it does not work to conduct regular examinations.
