
Kathmandu, December 21: According to the preliminary data the earthquake that occurred at 4:14 am on Saturday, epicentre around Jagannath Municipality 5 Gotri in Bajura, 18 houses have been damaged.
The two-storey house of local Kalpana Budha in Budhinanda Municipality No. 2 has been completely damaged. Similarly, the houses of Dhani Bohara, Saimal Rokaya, Ghanshyam Budha, Tene Chadara, Man Singh Thapa Bhote in Nagarpalika 3 have been partially damaged. Similarly, the building of Kailash Guest House in the same place has also been damaged. Similarly, the house of local Janak Bohara in the same municipality-4, Padam Sarki in ward No. 9 Pandusain, was also completely damaged, said Janak Bahadur Bohara, information officer at the District Police Office, Bajura.
The earthquake has damaged the houses of Dasrath Vik, Anand Vik, Champhe Vik, Man Vik in Swamikartik Khapar Village 1. According to the police, a team of 55 people has been deployed to collect field data from the earthquake since morning. Police said details of the damage were still being worked out.
Similarly, the house of local Damwar Kumal, Pachayogi in Raskot Municipality 3 of Kalikot has been damaged due to the earthquake, according to DSP Tek Bahadur Rawat of the District Police Office, Kalikot. Police also reported damage to the home of Pushparaj Bhuiyan in the same municipality.
