Kathmandu, December 15: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said the Nepali Congress was the first party to give rights to the people. He said this while speaking at a Sunday program organized in Kathmandu. He said the Nepali Congress is a party with history in Nepal.

He directed the party leaders and cadres to move ahead keeping in mind the importance of the party which has a long history. Stating that the NC is the party that plays a leading role in getting the rights of the people in Nepal, he said that the people see the NC as a hope in a different way than other parties. “We have to take a little care about the importance of this party. It should not be forgotten that the people see the Congress as a hope in a different way than other parties in getting the rights of the people by not only sowing the seeds in Nepal, but also the party that fought for it by planting seeds,” he said.
