During the harvest plantation season, the community observes Ubhauli Festival for good harvest and after entering new harvest in homes, the community observes Udhauli Festival.

Accordingly, the Newar community observes today as the Yomari Purne by cooking sweet rice after entering new harvest, mainly paddy, in homes.

The Jyapu (farmers in the Newar community) observe the Jyapu Day today.

The government has announced a public holiday today.
