Kathmandu, December 13: President Ramchandra Paudel has appointed Nepal’s residential ambassadors to five different countries.
Paudel appointed Prakash Paudel as the ambassador to Portugal, Sanil Nepal ambassador to Spain, Prof Dr Kapilman Shrestha ambassador to South Africa, Sewa Lamsal ambassador to Belgiem and Dr Shivamaya Tumbahamphe ambassador to South Korea. Lamsal is the immediate past foreign secretary of Nepal and Tumbahamphe is the former deputy speaker of the House of Representatives.
The newly appointed ambassadors were recommended by the government and also faced the Parliamentary Hearing Committee and appointed ambassadors after receiving agremo from the concerned countries.
