Kathmandu, December 13: The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) amended its statute through a consensus by its special convention held on Tuesday (December 10).

The special convention decided to elect its president through a direct election and the President’s tenure will be for two years.

According to the new amendment, the present senior vice president will automatically be elected as the president, however, after the completion of his tenure, the next president will be directly elected by the FNCCI members.

There will be five vice presidents replacing the present provision of three vice presidents, according to the amendment of the statute.

Likewise, there will be one senior vice president. The senior vice president will be selected by the FNCCI working committee.
