Kathmandu, December 3: Various agreements have been inked between Nepal and China in the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is on an official visit to China and his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang.

The agreement on mutual cooperation was signed after bilateral talks between the Prime Ministers of both countries.

Officials of both countries have signed and exchanged a memorandum of understanding on the construction of the Tokha-Chhare tunnel between Nepal and China. Similarly, a Memorandum of Understanding on Nepal-China trade promotion has been signed.

An agreement has been reached on the protocol regarding the export of buffalo meat to China as well as the exchange of certificates that China has completed the reconstruction of Nautle Palace in Basantpur, Kathmandu.

According to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, agreements on development projects, agreements on financial and technical assistance, and memorandums of understanding on cash assistance have been signed and exchanged. An agreement on volunteer Chinese language teachers and an agreement on communication technology between Nepal Television and China Media Group have been signed.
