December 2: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won the post of the Ward Chair of Ward No 16, Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
Rojina Shrestha won with 2902 votes against her nearest rival UML’s Laxmiratna Tuladhar, who bagged 2220.
NC candidate stood at the third position with 2114 votes.
RSP has become controversial since its Chairman Rabi Lamichhane alleged cooperative funds fraud and is under investigation by the Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police.
In the previous election, the NC candidate had won as the Ward Chair from Ward No. 16.
