Kathmandu, December 1: Voting has begun for the vacant posts in the local bodies this morning at 7 am. Voting will continue until 5 pm today electing 41 representatives in the vacant posts in different districts.
The by-election will fill the positions of one municipality mayor, one deputy mayor, two rural municipality chairmen, four vice-chairmen, and 33 ward chairmen.
In the Kathmandu district, the by-elections take place in two places. The people in Kirtipur Municipality are electing its mayor, whereas, one chairman of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City will be elected today.
