Kathmandu, November 30: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has returned home after wrapping up her official visit to China. Minister Rana arrived in Kathmandu from Chengdu at the friendly invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

Rana, who reached Chengdu on Thursday leading a Nepali delegation, held a bilateral meeting with the Chinese Foreign Minister on Friday afternoon.

On the occasion, Wang stressed that both sides should agree to promote cooperation in all sectors, advance the Belt and Road Initiative and accelerate the construction of transit.

During the meeting, discussions were held on various aspects of Nepal-China relations and bilateral interests as well as preparations for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's visit to China from December 2 to 6. Rana will also participate in Prime Minister Oli's visit to China beginning on Monday.

Upon her arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport today, FM Deuba said that an understanding has been developed for moving forward with the BRI framework through a mutual understanding.
