Kathmandu, November 29: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s visit to China was approved by the Cabinet meeting held on Thursday, November 28. The PM is visiting China from December 2 to 6.

The PM has included a jumbo team of 87 members in his visit to China. Out of the 87-member team, the government will pay the expenditure of 39 members and 48 members are to bear expenses on their own, according to reports.

Although the PM is visiting China with a jumbo team, until now, the government has not been able to set the final agenda to be discussed with the Chinese counterpart during the visit.

It has become clear that the government is not going to ink any deal on debts from China, however, the two ruling parties, NC and UML, have decided to accept the BRI projects under grants.

Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba is on a visit to China without finalizing the agenda.

The members in the high-level mechanism between the NC and UML are finalizing the agenda by today (Friday), reports state.
