Kathmandu, November 29: The silent period started on Thursday at midnight for the by-elections in the vacant local bodies in different districts.

Election campaigns are prohibited during the silent period.

By-elections in different districts including the post of one ward chair in Kathmandu Metropolitan City and one mayor’s post in the Kirtipur Municipality are taking place on Sunday, December 1.
