The government has been unable to distribute passports to the people for a few days after the computer system was attacked by a virus.

When the people failed to get the passports, they protested which resulted in the clash at the Tripureshwor-based Passport Department on Monday.

When the system saw problems, the Department requested the service seekers not to visit the Department until the next notice.

Issuing a notice on Monday, the Department of Passport stated that it would take one or two weeks for the passport related services to fully come into operation.
