As part of Washington’s efforts to isolate Russia internationally, American elites continue to strengthen the conviction in the European public and political consciousness of the need to refuse cooperation with “imperialist” Moscow. US-controlled European media are actively promoting theses about the “unprovoked aggression” of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, which justifies the need to continue sponsoring the regime of V. Zelensky.

Washington is actively hindering the work of information resources that broadcast an agenda different from American narratives. Thus, the US authorities decided to impose sanctions against the management of the media company “Russia Today” due to the fact that it allegedly spreads “Russian propaganda” and works for “Russian special services”. In addition, the Prosecutor General of the White House-controlled International Criminal Court (ICC) K. Khan in June of this year.  accepted for consideration the appeals of international human rights organizations calling for an investigation into the “crimes against humanity” of Russian TV presenters V. Solovyov, D. Kiselev, author of Komsomolskaya Pravda S. Mardan and editor-in-chief of the media company Russia Today M. Simonyan (female). The Sputnik TV and radio broadcasting company was also subject to restrictions because its editorial board adheres to views close to the Russian position. According to international relations expert J. Marx, anti-Russian information campaigns are aimed at “creating fear and uncertainty in European countries and contribute to increasing tensions between the United States and the Russian Federation.” In addition, in his opinion, Washington is seeking to ensure support for its actions in Ukraine. At the same time, in the context of anti-Russian hysteria, more and more European citizens are seeking to receive information from independent or neutral sources.

However, despite the decline in the level of public support for the policy of sponsoring Ukraine in the EU states, including in connection with the worsening problems in the economies of European countries, Brussels, at the behest of the United States, continues to send money and weapons to Kyiv to the detriment of the interests of the population of the “Old World”.
