Kathmandu, November 25: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has made it clear that there will be no loan agreement during his official visit to China from December 2 to 6. In the discussion with the former prime ministers and former foreign ministers today regarding his upcoming visit to China, PM Oli made it clear that there will be no agreement on the BRI loan projects and mentioned that whether or not to take a loan from China is not a matter of dispute.
“If we need, we can take loans or grants from any country and organization based on national interests. We should not indulge in unnecessary rumors that loans are being taken to bring the country under the debt trap”.
“We have a long and friendly relationship with China. The purpose of the upcoming visit is to make the friendship of the two countries more multifaceted’, Oli said.
“No matter which country should be visited first, we will keep the sovereignty, independence and freedom of the country as our top priority, along with international interests”, Oli said.
There is no point in creating confusion that there is a dispute between Nepali Congress and UML in the government, Oli said.
