
Kathmandu, November 23: The Nepal Embassy in the UAE, Abu Dhabi, held an interactive program on export promotion on November 21. Ambassador Tej Bahadur Chhetri said that the Embassy has always been working with high importance in promoting Nepal’s export trade and enhancing trade relations between Nepal and the UAE, and the Embassy will always play a supportive role by taking the suggestions received from the businessmen positively.
A comprehensive discussion was held between the delegation of Nepali entrepreneurs and the Non-Resident Nepali Association, UAE, Nepal Business Council, UAE and the entrepreneurs and businessmen in the UAE on the issue of reducing Nepal’s trade deficit between Nepal and the UAE and increasing Nepal’s exports. During the interaction program, there was an in-depth discussion among the businessmen present about the huge potential of Nepali products in the UAE market, the current challenges in the field of export, and the legal and policy measures to be taken between the two countries in the future.
Moreover, the Middle East Organic and Natural Product Expo-2024 held in Dubai from November 17 to 20 was attended by 33 representatives, including various industry players, including the Federation of Nepal Export Traders from Nepal, in coordination with the Federation of Nepalese Industry and Commerce. The exhibition, which has been organizing for the last 22 years, was participated by Nepal for the first time. 12 stalls were placed at the Nepal Pavilion in Dubai.
