
Kathmandu, November 22: A bilateral meeting was held between the UML leaders visiting China and Chinese Communist Party leaders in Beijing.
Deepak Gyawali, a member of the UML’s Public Relations Department, and a member of the UML delegation visiting China, informed that the leaders expressed their hope that the upcoming visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to China will further enhance the mutual relations and cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
On this occasion, UML’s senior vice chairman Ishwar Pokharel expressed his belief that the visit of the party chairman and Prime Minister Oli would make the relationship between the two countries stronger and closer. He expressed the opinion that Prime Minister Oli’s upcoming visit to China will prove to be a milestone in the implementation of the old agreements between Nepal and China to prepare a concrete plan and move forward and take the historical relationship between the two countries to a higher level.
CPC’s Foreign Affairs Department Head Liu Jianchao mentioned that the Chinese and Nepali people have great expectations from PM Oli’s upcoming visit to China and said that the Chinese side is eager to welcome PM Oli. He emphasized that the attention of both countries should be directed towards making maximum use of the historical relationship between Nepal and China for centuries in the direction of development and prosperity.
