Kathmandu, November 10: Prof. Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli has been appointed Nepal's Ambassador to China. President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed Oli as the ambassador in accordance with Article 282 (1) of the Constitution. The cabinet had recommended Nepal's ambassadors to 17 countries. After the appointment was approved by the parliamentary committee, President Paudel appointed Oli as the ambassador.
A permanent resident of Jhapa. Oli had spent a long period in China for study and research. Earlier, he was appointed as a member of the National Planning Commission when KP Oli was the Prime Minister, after which he was appointed the Chairman of the National Nature Conservation Fund in 2078. A visiting professor of international environmental law at Sichuan University in China, he is also an adjunct professor at Xizang University in China and a visiting professor at the Kathmandu School of Law.
