Kathmandu, November 10: Lilavallav Adhikari, the then Minister of Internal Affairs and Law of the Kosi Province, has been arrested and brought to Kathmandu by the Police for further investigation into his involvement in human trafficking. At the request of the District Police, Kathmandu, the State Police arrested him from Biratnagar today.
Adhikari is brought to Kathmandu after the arrest in Biratnagar.
Adhikari was deported from the Tokyo airport a few days ago after he was suspected of trafficking a group of Nepalis to Japan. The foreign visit of the provincial minister also had to be approved by the federal cabinet, but he went to Japan on his own. Along with him, three people were flown to Japan by making fake cards of the same ministry. Adhikari was detained at Tokyo airport for 48 hours.
