Kathmandu, November 6: The closure of Tribhuvan International Airport for 10 hours a day will reduce domestic and international flights causing a decline in tourist arrival.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, the price of tickets has increased after domestic and international flights were reduced by up to 35 percent.

The airport will be closed 10 hours a day from November 8, 2024 to March 31, 2025, known as the peak tourist season, to build a taxiway parallel to the runway inside the airport.
