
Kathmandu, October 18: An arrest warrant against the MP and chair of the Rastriya Swatentra Party, Ravi Lamichhane, is issued by the Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police.
The Kathmandu District Court has permitted the Nepal Police to keep under custody Ravi Lamichhane including 14 others to investigate the fraud case in the Suryadarshan Cooperatives in Pokhara.
The Nepal Police is planning to arrest Lamichhane and take him to Pokhara for further investigation.
The court has also permitted to arrest Bishal Tamang, Navin Achhami, Rabina Rimal, Ashraf Ali Siddiki, Deepak Lama, Anantababu Rai, Ram Bahadur Khanal, Rdevndrababu Rai, Omprakash Gurung, Birendra Bahadur Ranabhat, Deepa Neupane and Kalpanakumari Shrestha.
The Police are investigating the cooperative fraud case by keeping under the Police arrest to former DIG Chhabilal Joshi.
The Police have already been deployed to arrest Lamichhine, former deputy prime minister and home minister. There is a tense situation at the RSP Headquarters in Kathmandu as RSP supporters are gathered there.
