
Kathmandu, October 2: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba and Alyssa Albright, chief executive officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), held a meeting on Monday in Washington DC. During the meeting held at the Nepali Embassy in Washington DC, the implementation of the MCC project signed by Nepal in 2017 and the timely completion of the projects under it were discussed, informed the Nepal Embassy in Washington DC.
Under the MCC Compact, projects related to the construction of electric transmission lines and the upgrading of roads in Nepal have been implemented. The MCC provided a grant assistance of $500 million to Nepal.
The meeting was held on September 30, before FM Rana’s departure for Doha.
