Devastating floods, landslides claim 192 lives, 30 are still missing
Kathmandu, September 30: The death toll due to floods and landslides has reached 192. The Home Ministry said 30 people are still missing.
Ministry spokesperson Rishiram Tiwari said that 194 people were injured in the natural disaster. According to him, all security agencies have been mobilized for post-flood search, rescue and relief.
He said more than 4,500 people have been rescued so far.
The Ministry said emergency relief materials, including food, were being provided to the flood-affected and free treatment was being provided to the injured.
The government has given top priority to search, rescue and relief. Spokesperson Tiwari also said that the initiative is being taken to open the blocked highway for traffic movement.
