
Kathmandu, September 29: Floods and landslides have claimed 99 lives nationwide. 72 people remain missing, and 100 have sustained injuries in the disaster.
The continuous massive rains nationwide have created heavy damage nationwide.
Highways and roads linking the Kathmandu Valley have been damaged in different parts by disconnecting the Valley from other parts of the country via road due to floods and landslides.
Rishi Ram Tiwari, Joint Secretary and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Home Affairs, reported that 48 of the fatalities occurred in the Kathmandu Valley alone, with 25 deaths in Kathmandu, 5 in Bhaktapur, and 18 in Lalitpur.
