Kathmandu, September 28: The Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu organized a special ceremony to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) China on Friday, September 27.

Addressing the function, Chinese Ambassador Chen Song said that China is going to exempt all kinds of taxes for Nepali products to enter its market.

The Ambassador informed that all Nepali products will be allowed to enter China from December onwards without any taxes that are levied on imports.

The Chinese announcement will facilitate Nepal’s export to China,

Expressing commitment to further cooperation in different sectors with Nepal, the Chinese ambassador said that there were 2,500 Nepali students studying in China and that China will mark 2025 as Nepal visit year so as to promote Nepali tourism in China.

He said China wishes to see Nepal as a prosperous, strong and independent country which will also be beneficial for the northern neighbour.

Referring to China’s rise in the last 75 years, the Chinese Ambassador said that China has been able to stand up, prosper and take strides since the establishment of the PRC.

Vice President Ramshayaya Yadav attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Ministers, heads and members of the constitutional bodies, senior government officials, senior journalists, businessmen, heads of the diplomatic missions in Kathmandu, and Chinese nationals residing in Kathmandu were present on the occasion. Verities of musical and dance performances exhibiting Nepali and Chinese cultures were presented on the occasion.
