Kathmandu, September 23: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli met Indian PM Narendra Modi at the sideline of the UNGA in New York on Sunday afternoon, according to New York’s local time. The two PMs met at the Hotel Lotte Palace in New York, according to Foreign Ministry sources. During the meeting, Indian PM Modi said he is visiting Nepal soon, informed Foreign Minister Arzu Rana, who is in the Nepali delegation led by Oli. Accordingly, both sides agreed to resolve problems between the two countries by activating the bilateral networkings. PM Oli, talking to the media after the meeting, said that the meeting was good. During the meeting between Oli and Modi, Nepali delegation members Foreign Minister Arzu Rana, PM’s political advisor Bishnu Rimal, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal and Nepal’s Permanent Representative at the UN, Lok Bahadur Thapa were present. From the Indian side, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, among others were present. The meeting went on for 45 minutes. Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Amrit Kumar Rai, said that the meeting helped to strengthen bilateral relations and confidence between the two nations. Earlier, Oli also met with Butani PM and Kuwet’s Prince and Prime Minister.
