Kathmandu, September 19: The government, on the occasion of the constitution day, has opened Dharahara for the public today, three years after its inauguration by K.P. Sharma Oli during his previous tenure as the Prime Minister.

The cabinet meeting decided to bring into temporary operation the Dharahara Tower, which was demolished by the devastating earthquake in 2015.

The government has constructed a new Dharahara aside from the old demolished Tawer. The construction work is yet to be completed.

The Dharahara Construction Project is managing to allow about 500 people to climb Dharahara every day from today until a new decision. According to Koshnath Adhikari, the head of the project, arrangements are being made to book entry for climbing the tower through the website. He said that information about the website will be made public after the preparation is completed.

Until further decision, the entrance ticket to Dharahara will be free. Parking inside the tower will also be free.
