Kathmandu, September 19: Today, Asoj 3, is being observed as the constitution day on the occasion of the promulgation of the present constitution in 2015. A section of political parties is observing the day as a great day, whereas different groups are observing it as a black day. Different Tarai parties have decided to observe the day as the black day. Even the parties in the government are trying to amend the constitution just nine years after its promulgation. The Rastriya Prajatantra Party and RPP Nepal are demanding an overhaul of the constitution, including the introduction of a Hindu kingdom. India has not formally recognized the constitution of Nepal. As there is a lack of enthusiasm among the commoners in observing the constitution day, the government has decided to organize a musical concert in front of the Narayanhitty Royal Palace with the plan of attracting youths. After the organizer stopped vehicle movement on the road in front of the Palace from last Tuesday, the entire city experienced a traffic jam.
