Kathmandu, September 16: Today is the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, which is observed as an auspicious day by the Muslim community. On this occasion, the Nepal government announced a holiday for the Muslim community. The Home Ministry, publishing a notice, has announced a holiday for the Muslim community in the country. Id-e Milad, Milad–un–Nabi, Mawlid which falls on September 16 is a very special occasion for Muslims and commemorates the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad who is regarded as the last Prophet sent by Allah.
