Kathmandu, September 9: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is willing to meet Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New York.

PM Oli is scheduled to visit New York to attend the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations.

The Foreign Ministry has made a formal request to the Indian External Affairs Ministry for the meeting, however, Nepal has not received confirmation about the meeting.

The UNGA is starting from September 10 and high-level discussions are taking place from September 24 to 28.

PM Oli is also scheduled to attend the “Summit of the Future” organized by the UN on September 24 and 15 in New York.

Indian PM Modi is not attending the UNGA but will attend the “Summit of the Future” only.

On September 21, Modi is attending the QUAD Summit of four countries—USA, India, Japan and Australia.

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is leading the Indian delegation to the UNGA.
