Kathmandu, September 2: The land management work for the construction of a new petroleum storage house at Bhairahawa in Rupandehi has reached its final stage. Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is preparing for the construction of a Lumbini province-level fuel storage depot on about 14 bighas of land on the bank of Rohini River in the border area of ​​Omasatiya and Rohini Rural Municipality of Rupandehi.

Project Coordinator engineer Pradeep Yadav informed that land management will be done in the first phase and storage tanks will be constructed in the second phase. Under the first phase, 80 percent of the construction of ‘retaining walls’ has been completed in the western and northern areas of the land to prevent damage caused by floods in the Rohini River.

The Corporation has been working on the land management of the storage house through three contractors.
