
Kathmandu, September 2: Sarlahi police have arrested eight persons from the Indian border area for making fake notes. District Police Office Sarlahi said that they were arrested on Saturday night with equipment for making fake notes from Godaita Municipality-12 Madhubani village in the Indian border area.
Those arrested are Sougat Thapa Magar, 26, of Chandragiri Municipality-15, Kathmandu, Vijay Lama, 47, of Kageshwari Manohara Municipality-6, Sanjay Rana Magar, 33, of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-1 Kupandol, Amir Khatri, 37, of Changunarayan Municipality-5, Bhaktapur. , 40-year-old Suvodh Kumar, resident of Sitamarhi Police Station Bairagania Gram Panchayat Panchayat Panchayat, Rajiv Thakur alias Pappu, 49, resident of Bharat Sitamarhi Police Station Bairagania Village Panchayat Panchayat, 32-year-old Janardhan Singh of Godaita Municipality-12 Madhubani, Sarlahi and 37-year-old Vishal Rai of Chandrapur, Rautahat.
According to SP Rabindra Bahadur Singh of District Police Office Sarlahi, the police arrested them on the basis of a tip-off that fake notes were being made inside an empty house built for irrigation boring in Madhubani.
The police recovered 14 pieces of paper cut into the size of 1000 notes, eight liters of different colored chemicals, 95 thousand 805 Nepali rupees, 10 mobile sets, a Nepali Scorpio car and two Indian motorcycles from the scene. SP Singh said that Sarlahi District Court extended 10 days for further investigation.
