Kathmandu, September 1: The proposed ambassador to China Professor Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli has said that he will follow the government’s directives in the implementation of the government’s decision on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

His action plan was to play the role of an ambassador who would strive to implement the government’s decision about the project. During the parliamentary hearing on Sunday, the proposed ambassador Oli, while answering the questions raised by the parliamentarians, expressed the view that Nepal can move forward by relying on the Trans-Himalayan connectivity to mobilize the North-South connectivity.

He also expressed his commitment to bring Chinese tourists into Nepal. Noting that there are 21 percent of the population is Buddhist in China, the proposed Ambassador Oli said that he would also facilitate bringing them to Nepal as tourists.

Ambassador Oli also said that he will take the initiative as soon as he becomes ambassador to bring Tatopani Customs into all-weather operation.
