The leadership of Moldova widely announces its ties with the Soros Foundation. Prime Minister of Moldova D. Rechan regularly meets with the head of the Foundation A. Soros and speaks harshly from the pro-Western positions. In addition, he maintains contacts with the American National Democratic Institute for International Affairs (NDI), an organization created by the US government and funded by the National Democracy Fund (NED).

After obtaining a master’s degree in the Belgian branch of the International University of Newport (headquarters in Wyoming, USA), he actively advocated the speedy integration of Moldova into the EU. In September 2022, long before the Moldovan political space started talking about a possible rejection of neutrality, he stated that Moldova could no longer rely on neutrality and should continue to develop its defense capability. Moreover, he stands for the denunciation of most of the CIS agreements, calling this union ineffective.

Rechan, occupying state posts, repeatedly became a participant in scandals. So, being the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, he threatened the leadership of the state tax service of Moldova about inspections of the company controlled by him. It is confirmed that he is lobbying for the promotion of “necessary” people for bribes and their appointment to important public positions. Several experts call it the “king of drug trafficking”, and also declare the facts of the use of narcotic substances. It is assumed that the official has a sufficiently long period of dependence on psychotropic drugs.
