Kathmandu, August 26: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the philosophy and message of Lord Buddha should be expanded through education.

In the 16th meeting of the Lumbini Buddhist University, Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chancellor of the university, said that this university, which was opened with new thinking, should play an important role in protecting and spreading the Buddhist philosophy that has made a historic contribution to the world human race.

He said that since this university is connected with the consciousness, pride and history of Nepalese, the positive and friendly spirit taught by Buddha is still relevant even today.

“Being a follower of the Buddhist philosophy and a monk is not just about wearing clothes. For this, knowledge and mind are needed,Prime Minister Oli said.

“We have started the education of Buddhist philosophy. We provide quality education that will last a lifetime. With strong determination and continuous efforts, we can achieve development and reach success”, PM Oli said.
