Kathmandu, August 24: A total of 27 Indian tourists were reported to be killed in a road accident on August 23. An Indian tourist bus carrying about 40 Indian tourists from Pokhara to Kathmandu plunged into the Marsyangdi River near Anbukhaireni in Tanahun district, killing 27 Indian tourists and injuring 16 others on Friday, August 23.

The injured were rushed to different hospitals by the rescue teams.

Among those injured, six are in critical condition, reports state.

The Indian tourists were from Maharastra State of India, who were bound for Kathmandu after completing the visit to Bhairahawa and Pokhara.
