Kathmandu, August 22: The Nepal government has urged to convert the debts taken by the government to construct the Pokhara Regional International Airport into grants.
The Finance Ministry has written a letter to the Chinese government urging converting the debt into a grant.
Dhaniram Sharma, chief of the International Financial Support Department, said that the Finance Ministry has written a letter to the Chinese party urging to change the debt into a grant.
Meanwhile the two governments today have signed different four agreements related to the construction of the 8.2 kms Maharajgunj-Basundhara Ring Road, constructing a two-lane Hilsa-Simikot Highway, construction of the ICP and ICD at the Korala Pass in Mustang district and conducting a feasibility study on the maintenance works of the Ariniko Highway.
