Chairman of CPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal became unstable within a month after he was thrown from power.

His political activities as well as speeches are testimony to this.  On the one hand, he is fearing whether his party will be cornered forever after the two big parties formed a coalition government, he is feeling unsafe within the party on the other. The conflict between Dahal and party deputy general secretary Janardan Sharma has already spilled with Sharma exerting pressure on Dahal to quit party leadership.  This is why he is in haste to unify smaller parties led by Madhav Kumar Nepal, Biplav and Mahendra Raya Yadav and his Maoist Centre, with a hope of consolidating power.

In his speech, he often expressed ire against the chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.  But he looks soft towards NC, probably with a hope that NC will soon seek his support. He is also opposing the idea of amending the constitution claiming that the two big parties were trying to curtail the achievements of the 2006 movements and restore the constitution of 1990.
