The Supreme Court’s verdict on whether the Prime Minister is powerful or Parliament will be out only on 12 August. The delayed verdict according to observers pushed the political parties towards the horn of dilemma as to whether to prepare mentally and organizationally for a mid-term poll or not.

 A well-known justice of the Supreme Court on condition of keeping his name anonymous, confided to the Review that the conditions that led to the announcement of the mid-term polls by Girija Prasad Koirala the then Prime Minister and that of Manmohan Adhikari, present Prime Minister are different and as such, the forthcoming Supreme Court’s decision may not be according to its previous ruling.
