Serious errors in TRC bill, call for correcting errors
Kathmandu, August 9: The Accountability Monitoring Committee, in a press release issued today, has stated that there are serious errors in the TRC Bill. The Committee has urged for correcting the errors before approving it from the House.
It is stated, "The monitoring committee calls on the federal parliament, the government, and the parliamentary parties to create an environment where the transitional justice process can be concluded in a sustainable and legitimate manner by passing the bill only after correcting the serious errors."
Rajuprasad Chapagain, coordinator of the committee, co-coordinator Rajan Kuinkel and Rukmani Maharjan and members Charan Prasai, Dr. Gaurishankarlal Das, Dr. Mandira Sharma, Prof. Kapil Shrestha, Dr. Gopalkrishna Sivakoti, Dinesh Tripathi, Suman Adhikari, Devi Sunuwar, Baburam Giri, Dr. Virendra Thapalia, Omprakash Aryal, Janak Bahadur Raut, Indraprasad Aryal and Mahamunishwar issued a joint statement.
