Kathmandu, August 4: Nepal Airlines, the national flag carrier, is preparing to operate direct flights to Sydney, Australia, from the Dasain festival this year.
The Nepal Airlines officials discussed with the high-level authorities in Australia for operating direct flights between Nepal and Australia.
Executive chairman of Nepal Airlines, Yubraj Adhikari, marketing director, Teknidhi Dahal, operation director, Dipuraj Jwaharchan, and board member, Kishor Pradhan, discussed with the civil aviation safety authority, foreign affairs and home affairs officials in Australia regarding starting air service between Nepal and Australia.
Nepal has booked ground slots for two flights every week and inked necessary agreements between the two countries.
