Former Major General Chhetri’s autobiography ‘Life is Beautiful’ released
Kathmandu, August 3: An autobiography book titled 'Jeevan Sundar Chha' (Life is Beautiful) by former Major General of Nepal Army Dr Ramindra Chhetri was released at a function on Friday. Along with the unveiling of the book, CoAS Gen Prabhuram Sharma, editor of the book, Ramchandra Phuyal and journalist Tikaram Yatri reviewed the book.
During the 10-year-long armed conflict, Chhetri was injured following an attack by the Maoist rebels. Phuyal said that the book has been brought out by incorporating Chhetri's experience of 40 years in service in the Army and the ups and downs in his life. Life is beautiful, like the title of the book, the author's honesty is reflected in the autobiography, he explained.
Army Chief Sharma recalled that Chhetri had been active and creative even after his retirement from the Army. Sharma said his honesty, clearly spoken nature and activism are highly commendable.
Writer Chhetri said that the book covers the contribution of his ancestors to the state, childhood, experiences of serving in the army and the ups and downs in life after being physically disabled. "Life doesn't always go in the same rhythm," he said, adding, "If my experience inspires the readers, I think I became successful."
