Kathmandu, August 2: Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli is scheduled to visit Bangkok, Thailand to attend the sixth summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multilateral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) in September. After Thailand, Prime Minister Oli may travel to the United States to attend the 79th General Assembly of the United Nations, which begins on September 10. PM Oli is scheduled to address the UN assembly. Foreign Ministry spokesman, Amrit Bahadur Rai, has confirmed that preparations are underway for the Prime Minister’s participation in the summit.
