Kathmandu, July 30: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed to open Dharahara as soon as possible. While instructing the ministers and secretaries at Singh Darbar on Tuesday, he said that the lift of Dharahara has started to rust and that there should be no delay in opening Dharahara as soon as possible.

The tower has already been built. People want to go up there, but they are not allowed. “Why let the elevator stay rusted?, there are two elevators. There is a ladder for young people. There is a lift for the elderly citizens. And why not operate?”, the Prime Minister said that is there a need to develop a procedure to bring into operation the tower.

He said that the parking lot in the Dharahara area does not belong to any particular municipality. He emphasized that Bhairahawa and Pokhara airports should also be brought into operation making them a good source of income, saying that international airports should not be kept idle.
